Fly Tying Birthday Party
If you have kids with an interest in learning to tie flies, you might consider booking a party at the Mountain Road Fly Shop.
I can offer two hours of tying for $10.00 per child. The shop can supply all materials and tools, or they can bring their own equipment if they prefer. I will limit the size of the group to six kids. I can possibly do larger groups with plenty of advanced notice so I can get another tier to help. Please inquire for more details.
The schedule for parties can be weekday afternoons or late day on weekends. These are the times that I should be able to work with the group without interruptions. I will require one parent or guardian to remain with the group during the party.
Your son or daughter will truly enjoy catching a fish on a personally tied fly. Hopefully they will catch the fever to become a fly fisher and grow to be aware of our environment and the importance of clean water in our rivers, pond, and lakes.
This casting hour can be done for the second hour of the party. This will give me the time to tie one fly with the group and then go to the casting pond for the second half of the party.
The sport of fly fishing has taken me to some of the most beautiful places in this country and in Canada. I have witnessed many awesome things in the wild while fishing for trout, salmon and many other species. This can greatly enhance your kid’s interest in the outdoors and the environment.
